I throw most of my pots on a wheel and decorate them with colored slips, using Asian brush-style painting. Occasionally, I still build pots by hand with slabs or pinching. The pots are fired twice, the second time to about 2350° F.

All the glazes I use are food safe. My pots can go in the microwave and dishwasher but not the oven. Despite its delicate appearance, porcelain is very durable and does not chip easily.
